Service Description

A nature-based, counseling camp at The Highlands Mansion and Gardens in Ambler, PA Hiking, Wildcrafting, Goat Visits, and Garden Adventures! Our counseling groups are moving to the gardens for nature-based counseling retreats for our second summer! Each week, we will meet for 5 days and enjoy all that nature offers on the otherworldly, verdant grounds of The Highlands Mansion in Ambler, PA. During our outdoor sessions, group members will enjoy 59 acres of historic meadowlands, hang out in the amazing greenhouse, and check out the Georgian mansion built in 1796. In this magical space, camp members will participate in light hiking, tend to the herb gardens, visit with goats, and wildcraft for self-care all while developing stress-relieving strategies for everyday life. Your child will leave this retreat with: - A toolbox of stress management strategies - Homemade wildcrafts - Plant and tree knowledge - Practices for self-care they can use at home - Specific goals and techniques informed by Ecotherapy, DBT, and Mindfulness - Experiences in nature that will deepen their knowledge of self and their environment -New friends! $475 (Registration fee includes all activity supplies) - A $75 non-refundable deposit is required at time of registration. All camp documents will be sent online through Simple Practice and must be completed two weeks before camp begins. Join us for one week or both. - Space is limited to 10 members per group.
